Flowers

Everyone has taken a picture of the below flower.

Saw this in San Francisco, no idea what kind of flower it is, but I like it.

We went to the Dahlia Gardens in Golden Gate Park.
The rest of the pictures are Dahlias.

  1. OMG, you're too cute! Just snooping (???) through your pics, and the top "flower" is actually a dandelion after it has bloomed. Those little fuzzes will go flying in the wind, giving many, many more dandelion plants. :)

  2. Hi Natalie, The red flower I think you were wondering about is called bottlebrush (Callistemon). It is an evergreen shrub, native to Australia; but grows well here in California. We have some in our yard and they are often planted along the freeways. I like your photos & your recipes are over the top. Can't wait to try Kale chips and cashew cookies. Yum!!!! (Does one balance out the other!?) Suz
