OMG, you're too cute! Just snooping (???) through your pics, and the top "flower" is actually a dandelion after it has bloomed. Those little fuzzes will go flying in the wind, giving many, many more dandelion plants. :)
Hi Natalie, The red flower I think you were wondering about is called bottlebrush (Callistemon). It is an evergreen shrub, native to Australia; but grows well here in California. We have some in our yard and they are often planted along the freeways. I like your photos & your recipes are over the top. Can't wait to try Kale chips and cashew cookies. Yum!!!! (Does one balance out the other!?) Suz
